Engineering Joy
In January, I joined Robert Meaney and Darryn Downey on their podcast “Engineering Joy”. I cannot believe I’ve known them both since 2017!
We talked about long term health impacts from toxic workplaces and the things I feel make a workplace safe and fun to work in.
Ash Winter had an excellent follow up point when we first shared the recording:
“The whole taking jobs where people you know have worked has two sides I think. Its nice to go somewhere with people who share your values, but sometimes you can be invited into a real tyre fire!”
I’ve been fortunate to only end up in tyre fires by my own doing but it’s a great caveat by Ash. It’s important to do your research and look after your mental health in the job search.
